Description
Pronounced “dewclay”, this breed originated from Belgium and offer some of the most unique patterns and feathering around cheeks, throats, with full plumage that cover their legs. Very attractive, showy birds popular in backyard flocks for their splashes of unique colors.
Description at 1 day old:
Smoky straw colored with grays and taupe plumage that covers legs.
Description at maturity:
Lovely steely blue and silver patterned plumage giving porcelain like appearance with hues of straw-colored feathering within patterns. Each feather ends with white tips giving opalescent-like look from afar. Muffed cheeks give way to beard down throat area with feathered legs.
